He is dead, Jim
Beam me up to 22769 casual couture

I said this many times before: Hunts are big fun. Yeah of course absolutely for the hunters cause they join the game and receive nice and neat gifts from the stores, find new friends in hunting groups and all that jazz.

But hunts are also big fun for creators. You get a theme and you have to puzzle your way around that til you have something that represents your store, represents your quality of work but most of all represents the topic of the hunt.

When Manuel heard about the HOLLYWOOD WALK OF FAME HUNT he instantly catched fire. For those who do not know Manuel that good: He is a huge movie fanatic. So, of course, we applied.

The topic of this hunt is for every vendor to choose an actor who actually has a star on the hollywood walk of fame and to make something that represents the actor or and the role he/she is famous for. When we got accepted I had Manuel crying for 3 days next to me to pick William Shatner. For those of you who want to know Manuel even better: He is also a huge trekkie.

So we picked Bill – and guess what – noone else chose the poor old geezer. And of course we connected the outfit to one of his most famous roles: James Tiberius Kirk.

The tricky part was to bring a twist in the outfit. If you have the slightest interest in Star Trek you most probably recognized that the Star Trek Uniforms are legion in SL. And we just did not want to craft another one of these. But: We have the vintage line. And I really liked the idea to develop a Steampunk Star Trek Uniform. Well – and that is what we came up with:A leather jacket with slightly altered insignia, linnen uniform pants and a belt with lots of pockets and the well known also altered insignias on it.

So we hope you like our vision of the Steampunk Captain of the Steamship Enterprise. ^^

The Uniform is inpired by the Star Trek Movies and no dull copy. And of course the rights for the Design of the original Star Trek Uniform used in several Movies and TV-Series remains totally to Paramount Pictures.

It’s our rezday and we do what we want to… ^^
Something new has come to 22769 - the new storeIt's time for luxory, our gift this time is a golfer outfit

Manuel and I had rezday yesterday. Guess what we did: Something like a big party with cake, balloons, strange paperhats and pixelchampaign? erm - nope, thats just not us.

So how did we celebrate? With work of course ^^

Manuel and iI had some thoughts about redesigning our shop, the L4A gallery and the Atlantis Cafe for some time now. And yesterday was the day we erased the old one and builded the new one. And what can I say - of course we love it.

It is not all finished to our satisfaction yet. We will make new vendors and also the Atlantis Cafe is still not really there. But we are sure that til the weekend everything will be done and even the plastic-wrapping to protect the glassfronts will be off.

So if you like - drop by and have a look :-) but til weekend - better bring your security helmets with you. Beware of low flying prims ^^

Oh – and in the picture you can see the arrival of the new store – shortly before it hit the ground ;-)

But not enough – we are getting back in business. That means even more work for us, even more benefit for you: The LUXORY HUNT 2nd edition just startet. Yeah – protect your crown jewellery and come hunting for special deluxe items.

This time we go with an unisex golf outfit with a golf jumper, a shirt with sculpted collar and some golf trousers with sculpted cuffs. The hint at our place is: “Up, up and away” – but this also could change – so it is a good idea to check with the hintgiver at the huntboard anyways.

Oh – and of course there is again a blog for the hunt with hints, SURLs and pix from the gifts. You can find it at http://luxoryhunt.blogspot.com

Club Tropicana, drinks are free...
Enjoy the Summer Feeling with the Tropicana Hunt gift from 22769

After our short break finally the next hunt is just knocking at our door. And this one fits perfectly to our lil wild island with our palmtrees, our pond and cool drinks: It is the TROPICANA HUNT. And ever since we signed up with the hunt Manuel and I are humming that old tune from WHAM at least once a day without even recognizing it ;-) Fun and sunshine, there's enough for everyone.

Of course we sticked to the tropicana topic and designed a cool laid back vacation outfit containing white linnen bordershorts, an open shirt hawaiian style and a club tropicana tank to bring you in the right mood for some pina coladas at our atlantis cafe. Also we decided to make this one in classy black and white for you to wear the parts of the outfit mixed with other parts of your virtual closet. And of course the outfit is unisex ^^.

For the Tropicana Hunt you are loking for a shell - and we recommend to slap the hintgiver on the huntsignwall for updated hints since we alter the hideouts from time to time (yeah i know - we are mean). But for the start the hint goes: We "shell" go back to basic.

Oh - and Manu remind me that we did not only hummed and whisteled "Club Tropicana", but "Kokomo" from the Beach Boys, "Carrebean Queen" from Billy Ocean and many more vacation tunes also ;-) Hope that translates in the outfit ^^

Eyecandy / Update
New exhibition at the L4A-Gallery

Today we want to put your attention to the new exhibition in our little L4A gallery. Aemeth Lysette shows us some pieces of her wonderful art. You can expect some of her digital artwork as well as traditional paintings.

Manuel and I have been overwhelmed by her pieces. Aemeth always finds the right angles that drag the viewer right into the pictures. This is sometimes disturbing – but in a very good way. She allows you to become the observer of her visions. This you will find especially in her big scifi- and fantasy-themed pictures.

But there is even more: You can also get a sneek in her working progress watching scribble-like vignettes and also in her traditional painted artworks.

Aemeths exhibition is a place to explore and dive into a labyrinth of pixels, oil and graphite. Very addictive indeed. And beware – you maybe fail to find a way out again :-)

UPDATE: Today the opening reception will take place from 2pm - 4pm SLT. Aemeth Lysette, the current exhibiting artist, will be spinning pleasant groove music along with fabulous dubstep to get you moving. During the party some freebies will be available.
